The first climb, the opening of the 2021 climbing season!

Because climbing gyms have closed and we still want to train, both ourselves and our Zaiko clients, we have prepared several subscriptions so that you can continue to enjoy this sport.

We have decided to have rock training twice a week, after lunch...therefore we have 2 types of subscriptions: 4 hours and 8 hours, valid for one month.

Tuesday the first training session, instructor Dan Rosca, we could say one of the best climbers who has studied climbing down to the smallest detail.

Location: Tureni Gorges, later changed.

Our thoughts were about the weather conditions but also about the fact that we had to get home before 8 pm.

We set up a meeting point for those who didn't have transportation and headed towards the pier.

– moving

16:10. As soon as we set off, some said it had started to drizzle, we continued on our way confidently. It was already raining there. We didn't want to accept it. We decided to meet at the Tureni parking lot.

-change of location

Hmm.. we arrived at the parking lot in Tureni, it was raining 🙁 Hmmm….but we also have other options, such as the Turzii Gorges, the Hungarian Cave

– regrouping

We regrouped at the mountain rescue in the gorge. From here we started the climb to the Hungarian Cave. On the way, Dan Rosca, a good expert on the Turzii Gorge, described to us the formations we saw in the landscape, the mansion in the valley... and much more.

– establishing teams

Arriving at the Hungarian Cave, we grouped into teams: Luci and I, Sofi with Dan, and Alina with Irina.

  • trail equipment

We barely had time to equip ourselves and Dan equipped a 6a route for me and Luci... let's be clear, he only set the loops... I started climbing in the head-of-rope manner, led by Luci, and Dan went and prepared the route for the other 2 teams.

  • technical support

I had a very pleasant sensation to feel the rock, and the demonstration that Dan gave when he equipped the route created the illusion that it was an easy route to do, and so I managed to understand the route, how to approach it and complete it to the end, ensuring the last loop at the top.

  • moral support

I struggled with different techniques and approaches but the fear of falling sabotaged me. I went down and let Luci try. He had the exact same experience.

I tried again rested but this time in the difficult area I had the technical support of Dan who climbed the other route next to me. Feeling him there I applied exactly what he said and managed some moves that I didn't even think were possible. Success! A feeling of liberation and satisfaction at the same time incredible.

  • withdrawal

Time flew by and night came, it was raining, we gathered our equipment and headed home to the front.

Beautiful and emotional! I can't wait to go again 🙂

Come with us! Train and discover that climbing is beautiful and helps you have a balanced body.
