We are a team of professional ski and snowboard instructors in love with the mountains, winter, skiing/snowboarding and we are eager to share this passion with you. We offer private, family or group ski and snowboard lessons for clients of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced skiers looking to improve their technique. Skiing is a sport for all ages, which you can learn with us.
Skiing technique levels
Level 1 – Advanced beginner || Safe descents on blue slopes
The first technical level is the beginner level, in which the content reflects the tools necessary for basic acquisition. Due to the fact that this level is the entry level, a first aspect is that related to familiarization and knowledge of the specific equipment. Within this first level, within class A, the fundamental elements of the school slope are identified (global initiation), as well as the fundamental positions and initial elements of sliding on snow (basic acquisition). Class B corresponds to the initiation of bypass procedures and the technique of using mechanical climbing means.
Within this first technical level, the following technical procedures will be addressed, in order: walking procedures (alternatively, with simultaneous pushing) - climbing procedures (oblique, in steps, in scissors, with a beaten step) - turning procedures (through successive steps, in a fan) - falling and rising from a fall technique - sliding procedures (direct descent, oblique descent) - braking procedures (braked plow, sliding plow) - bypass procedures (bypassing through the plow, bypassing through half a plow).
Easy slope: semi-flat and medium slope. The first contact with alpine skiing, therefore with the specific equipment and the learning area, will initially be organized on the flat, gradually moving to very easy and easy slopes. The slope areas where the practice takes place are those marked: blue.
Level 2 – Advanced || Safe descents on blue and red slopes
This stage in learning represents the intermediate level, within which the reference point is the Christians, or parallel ski turns. Within this level, during the two technical classes, the fundamental movements learned within the first technical level are consolidated.
Within this technical level, the following technical procedures will be addressed: sliding procedures - crossing uneven terrain (crossing false flats, crossing slope breaks, crossing slope connections, crossing uneven terrain) - braking procedures (lateral skidding, oblique skidding) - evasive procedures (vertical balance Christiania, counter-skid Christiania, rotation Christiania) - acceleration procedures - technical adaptation (turning steps, skating steps).
Medium slope: medium and medium-fast slope. Within the technical level II the activity will be organized, mainly, on different types of slope, in various contexts. The slope areas where the practice takes place are those rated: red.
Level 3 – Experienced skier || Controlled descents on all slopes
It represents the advanced level in the motor interpretation of the basic technique of alpine skiing. At this level, the final bypass procedures are introduced and fundamental actions (weight transfer, edge pressure control) are perfected in various conditions. Carve bypass is the culmination of the advanced level. The main goal of this level is to perfect parallel bypass in various conditions of speed, bypass radius, slope and snow. As an innovative element, at this last technical level it is proposed to learn carve bypass, by adopting specific motor gestures (angulation, edge pressure control). A characteristic of this level is the guided skiing, which does not mean only a performance of the technical procedure, but a performance in controlled conditions, at different bypass radii. At the same time, the final objective of the basic technique in alpine skiing is multi-purpose skiing, by technically adapting the procedures learned to various terrain, slope and snow conditions.
Within this technical level, the following technical procedures will be addressed: bypass procedures (translational slalom, absorption slalom, carve bypass, braked slalom, accelerator slalom) - giant slalom competition technique (initiation) - slalom competition technique (initiation).
Medium - difficult slope: medium slope, medium - fast and steep. Within the technical level III the activity will be organized, mainly, on different types of slope, in varied contexts. The slope areas where the practice takes place are the rated ones: red and black.
